Today kinder kiddos showed me how they group objects and subatize.  Many were able to explain their thinking and share the correct answer.  

Persuasive Papers

Today in Mr. D's class the 4th graders wrote essays about whether or not to wear uniforms at school.  They used persuasion in their writing.  Thanks for sharing with me!

Author's Chair - First Grade

I visited Mr. Tifft, and wow did I see some creative writers.  I highlighted 2 students that sat in the Author's chair and read to their peers.  Thank you Maggie and Bruno.

Kindergarten Number Sense

Ms.Schroeder's kiddos practiced representing numbers today.  I sat with Petra and she shared her work with me.  She "grabbed" some items and counted them.  Then she represented her thinking with this work.  Way to go Petra!

Predator Prey - First Grade

Students in First Grade (Mr Shoe's Class) acted out the white tail deer/wolf habitat today.  I had a blast pretending I was hunting deer.  It was a great opportunity to be in the "outdoor classroom" and learning about our science standards.

3rd Grade Research

Third grader, Irene, sharing her research assignment with me.  I saw many examples of descriptive writing, like this, in Ms Serrano's class.  There is so much to learn about biomes.  Way to go!
